Tips on saving when creating a Tablescape

Raise your hand if you set your formal dining table every season/holiday yet don’t even use the table to actually eat at? 😣🙋🏽‍♀️

At this point, it’s become a hobby/arts and crafts for me. I enjoy decorating and styling my home so much lately. But, it can become VERY costly. I've learned how to shop for my home/dining room through trial and error, with spending so much money in the process.

So I’m dropping a few savings tips when shopping and styling your table setting:

▫️Always shop your home first! You can use items and restyle them in different areas of your home. There's nothing I love more than to have items already in my house that can be reused for decoration in my home. This also helps you to save money in the long run.

▫️Try shopping at bargain store such as Burlingtondeals, TJmaxx, Marshalls and Biglots who usually has really nice items for a great price! Some of these places also has designer items for a fraction of the normal cost.

▫️Mix in high cost with low cost items. Some places are higher in cost with home decor items than others. I rarely spend a lot of money on high cost items for my home besides furniture pieces, but sometimes you'll come across staple high end pieces. If this becomes the case, I always find ways to mix in low cost items. I found my holiday charger plates from Burlingtondeals in the clearance section for $4 during another season and saved them for Christmas.

▫️Bonus tip - Don’t sleep on Dollartree AND local thrift stores. Dollar tree has nice charger plates and dish-ware. You can shop for their dish-ware selections online as well if you can't find them in the store. You can score some really nice table setting items in your local thrift store as well, including beautiful floral vases. I've found floral vases, champagne flutes, charger plates and beer mugs in local thrift stores.

I hope these tips help! Let me know if you’ve tried any of these before.♥️
